When the Oil Seems Low
When the Oil Seems Low
“The jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry.” — 1 Kings 17:16
The widow of Zarephath looked at her near-empty supply and expected only death.
Yet God asked her to trust Him with what little she had left.
In faith, she obeyed, and her jar never ran dry.
Sometimes life can feel like that jar.
You pour yourself out in your work, family, church, and ministry until it feels like there’s nothing left to give.
But God promises to sustain you.
He is not limited by what you see in your “jar.”
Throughout Scripture, God used small things to do great work:
Remember: Your little, placed in God’s hands, becomes more than enough.

Throughout Scripture, God used small things to do great work:
- Five loaves and two fish fed thousands.
- A mustard seed-sized faith moved mountains.
- A shepherd boy’s sling defeated a giant.
Remember: Your little, placed in God’s hands, becomes more than enough.
